The home was built in 1976 and featured Board and Batten wood siding. This look was very popular in the 1970’s-1990’s. The batten strips and siding were starting to absorb water and the homeowners found some soft and rotten spots on the home and needed to do something before it caused structural damage.

The homeowners did their homework; they wanted to keep the same look. They narrowed down their choices to Vertical Fiber Cement Siding or Vertical Everlast.

Now, time to weigh the benefits and advantages of both products. After inviting siding companies, asking questions on products and installation, getting pricing, these homeowners picked Midwest Construction to install Everlast Advanced Composite Siding. Everlast comes with a Lifetime Non-Fade Protection.

All of the batten strips and 1 x 4 wood trims were removed and hauled away. Midwest Construction’s siding crews inspected the outer walls of the home for soft or rotten spots and replaced if and where needed.

All of the outer walls of the home were covered with house wrap. All window and door openings were covered with custom bent aluminum coil stock with a brick mold pattern.

The siding crew installed Vertical Everlast Advanced Composite Siding.

The overhangs were covered with Norandex Double 5 Hidden Ridge Soffit with custom bent aluminum fascia's to give this home a fresh new look.
