Newton, Iowa Homeowners hire Midwest Construction to install Vinyl siding to their home that was built in 1916.

Iowa is well known for its older homes throughout the states countryside. These homes were built to stand the test of time. Dimensional lumber, 2x4’s made of local hardwood, old school craftsmanship, and built to last.

Midwest Construction’s Senior Design Representative, Troy Deaton, met with these Newton, Iowa homeowners to discuss new siding. Troy sat down with them and listened to their concerns. When he went outside to measure the exterior walls, he noticed the areas of concern and found some other spots that needed attention.

Once the measurement process was finished, Troy showed them the material options, explained the installation process, and how we would address the areas of concern.

The soft or rotten wood was replaced around a couple of widows and some fascia boards that had soft corners were replaced before the crew started to apply the siding.

All of the outer walls of the home were covered with Progressive Foam product called Pro-Fold. ProFold is an insulating vapor barrier that provides insulation value. This product will enhance the homes outer wall insulation value.

The crew trimmed out all of the windows and doors and the soffit and fascia with custom bent white PVC aluminum coil stock.

American Classic Granite Gray Double Six Insulated Vinyl Siding System was installed to the home with matching accessories, like insulated corner post, J-channel, finish trim, light blocks and dryer vent.
