West Des Moines, Iowa homeowners hire Midwest Construction to install Vinyl Siding.

The home was built in the 1950’s, the siding 8 inch wood cedar siding. The home held paint on the siding up until the late 1980’s. Once the oil has dried out of the real wood cedar siding and the paint manufacturers took lead out of paint the siding wouldn’t hold paint. The homeowners tried everything to make sure the paint job would hold. After 3 paint jobs, time to look for a more permanent fix.

The homeowners were familiar with Midwest Construction as they had seen the displays at home shows and the Iowa State Fair. They went to Midwest Construction’s website and scheduled an exact cost for new siding and windows.

Matt Kloberdanz met with these West Des Moines, Iowa homeowners and discussed new windows and siding. They had 2 other bids and noticed Midwest Construction’s cost was a bit higher than the other 2 bids they received.

The difference was in the siding materials, the insulation, the house wrap, the window/door tape, the installation techniques and the attention to details.

Another reason was Midwest Construction was specifying shake in the gables. Once they looked at the differences of all of the above, the decision was made to have Midwest Construction remodel the exterior of their home.
