Johnston, Iowa Homeowners Hire Midwest Construction to install American Classic Insulated Siding System.

The home was built in 1988 and the siding was a wood fiber composite siding. Basically sawdust and glue with an exterior skin to hold paint. The siding needed to be maintained every 2-3 years to prevent any water damage to the material.

Midwest Construction’s crew removed the old wood composite siding and hauled it away. Once the siding was off the wall, Midwest Constructions crew inspected the exterior sheeting and replaced any soft or rotten spots. All of the fascia and soffit boards, window sills, casings and door casings were checked for soft or rotten wood and replaced before the crew started the reside project.

All of the out walls of the home were wrapped with house wrap and all window and door opening perimeters were sealed off with tape. All of these products are designed to stop air and water infiltration, to protect your home and conserve energy.

All window and door openings were covered with aluminum PVC covered coil stock with brick mold pattern. All Fascia boards have been covered with custom bent aluminum PVC coil stock.

Insulated corner post and steel starter strips are installed over the house wrap and let the American Classic Insulated Siding begin!
