Sunroom Installation in Newton, Iowa

Back in late February, a Newton, Iowa couple made the decision to attend the Des Moines, Iowa Home Builders Association Home and Remodeling Expo held at the Jacobson Event Center at the Iowa State Fairgrounds. Their mission: get ideas for sunrooms.

Alex Higgins, Senior Design Consultant was working the booth and invites a Newton, Iowa couple into the sunroom display. Alex answered all of their questions, went over some of the features, advantages and benefits of the Oasis All Season Sunroom and the homeowners invited Alex out to get some design ideas and pricing.

Alex showed up for his appointment that was pre-scheduled and confirmed with the homeowners. Alex went out to the back yard, and went to work measuring the proposed sunroom area.

Alex looked for utility lines, water spigots, septic tanks, and other things that may hinder building a sunroom on that location of their home. About 30% of the time, we can’t build the sunroom in the area they want it installed on their home.

Midwest Construction removed the existing deck and hauled it away. Next step, Techno Post (Footings) drilled into the ground.

Once the post/piers were set, the crew installed the Insul-Deck floor system. Next, walls set and roof attached.

Once the room walls/roof was up, Midwest Construction had the electrical contractor come in and add ceiling fan, lights and outlets. Oasis All Season Sunrooms feature electrical raceways that hide the wiring so you don’t see conduit and all of the switches and outlets were flush mounted.
