Johnston, Iowa homeowners hire Midwest Construction to install American Classic Insulated Siding and EcoSmart Replacement Windows.

The home was built in 1986 and was well maintained but at some point the siding was beyond repair. The original siding was a wood fiber siding used from the late 50’s into the early 1990’s and was very popular with all new home construction. Unless you were building a custom home you were pretty much stuck with what the builder was using. They did that so they can maintain their margins. By using builders grade siding, windows, exterior doors, and shingles, they could add the upgrades to the inside for the new home buyers.

Sure it looks great for the first 7-9 years and then needs to be painted. If this product is not maintained every 2- 3 years, water and air will infiltrate around all of the window and door openings, and the roof lines to cause damage to the siding and framing.
