Midwest Construction’s Grimes office received a call in from these Des Moines, Iowa homeowners after they saw our TV testimonial commercial featuring one of Midwest Construction’s actual customer and Van and Bonnie from WHO-AM Radio. They needed to replace their patio door.

Alex Higgins, Senior Design Consultant with Midwest Construction, met with these homeowners who always wanted a patio door in their older home. They showed Alex the room they wanted the door in and Alex went to work measuring the door and confirming the location on the wall. Since there was not an existing door, Midwest Construction’s crew had to cut the opening into the side of the house. This is a major construction project as the crew needed to add a header over the door to support the weight of the 2nd story. The homes interior woodwork was not your standard 2 ¼ inch colonial oak trim. The new door casing needed to match the existing and Midwest Constructions crew knew just what to do to make sure it matched.
