In some cases, we can actually do that but it all depends on the existing structure! As a responsible contractor in the state of Iowa and Minnesota, we have to build on a solid structure or we will need to start over. Some homeowners insist they have the proper footing under their existing structure to hold the new room. When you can see their existing structure/porch/patio sagging already, it is a good clue those old footing are not doing their job. We also need to consider the existing roof system to make sure it is structurally sound and is not leaking, because as a company, we do not want to inherit any previous problems and a careful and thorough inspection is done.

In some cases, we can remove the old single pane windows and storm windows, install our residential window line (EcoSmart) into the existing openings, refinish and update the inside of the porch/patio/mudroom and freshen up the exterior of the porch with new siding, stone, or shake products by our siding manufacturers.
