What is the difference of a Bay and Bow Window?

A bay window has three openings, available in angled projections. A bow window usually has four or five.

A bay window's overall structure consists of a picture window with two other windows, usually smaller, on either side.

A bow window's structure is curved, creating a rounded appearance on the outside of the home.

If you have room with a view, why not expand it? It’s a great way to let in more natural light while creating a personal retreat. Our Bay and Bow windows are available in a wide range of styles and are truly custom made for the perfect fit weather you’re replacing a bay or bow window, or want to install one in a large opening. Bay and Bow windows can feature double hung, casement or fixed windows and are made with the same high performance features of each of these window styles.

The options are endless when it comes to creating your own bay or bow window!

With custom interior frame, head, seat and jamb options made with your choice of oak or birch, including options like Corian surface seat options.

Seat insulation:

Our bay and bow windows seats feature a multi-layer construction which consists of two layers of structural support as well as a layer of ¾ closed cell insulating foam for premium insulation value and comfort. The interior is finished with birch or oak veneer hardwood cap. It’s built so well it will become the favorite feature in your home.
