Homeowners in Guernsey, Iowa stopped by Midwest Constructions Window, Siding and sunroom booth at the 2016 Iowa State Fair and the Oasis All Season Sunroom Display Caught Their Eyes!
These homeowners already paid someone to install a sunroom a few years ago and they really stopped into the booth to see what kinds of improvements have been made in sunroom walls and glass since they had theirs installed. They really wanted to make their room more energy efficient so they could use it all year. They also commented on the clean appearance, noticed the fact that the exterior of the room didn’t have a bunch of screws and fasteners and the extrusions were made of vinyl and not aluminum
As Lee meet with the homeowners, looked at the previously constructed sunroom that was built, he noticed it was built with material that was best suited to use in the southern parts of the country that never gets below freezing.
Lee Sykes, a 19 year sales veteran at Midwest Construction explained that the biggest advancement in sunrooms was the Reinforced, Insulated Vinyl Extrusions that give the our rooms greater R-Value.
Advancements in glass has also proven to add performance and gives homeowners a sunroom that can be used 365 days a year even in Iowa’s brutal winters, wet spring and fall and the heat and humidity.
Aluminum Sunroom with thermally broken extrusions allowed the structure to get cold and greatly reduce the thermal performance of the glass packs.
Midwest Construction removed the existing wall while bracing the roof system, installed Oasis All season Model 2600 Wall System and made other repairs and adjustments to update the floor system. The crew cleaned up and hauled away the old room and all other construction debris.
