This homeowner explained to Zane Kantaris, Siding Production Manager for Midwest Construction, We built the home in 1990 and stained wood was the style at the time. Someone should have told him he would need to stain every 2-4

years. This home owner decided to stain one side of the home every year and did so since 1994. Today these homeowners has a home that requires very little maintenance, just a garden hose and 15 minutes every spring and fall, also a home that is saving energy!

On this project the homeowner and Sales Representative decide to leave the wood siding on the home and install Progressive Foam Pro-Fold to all of the exterior walls and attached garage. All window and door openings were checked for any soft spots or wood rot and replaced if and where needed. To prevent any water or air infiltration protective window and door tape were applied around all of the openings. Once the house was prepared the VSI trained siding crews went to work installing American Classic Insulated Vinyl Siding. The job site was cleaned up daily and all tools secured. The homeowner was recently retired and actually took out his lawn chair and watched the entire installation and joked with the crew the whole time.
