County Fair season started for Midwest Construction back on June 11 at the Worth County Fair in Northwood, Iowa. Since then we have set up our booth at a half dozen

county fairs to display the goods and services we provide to homeowners across the entire state of Iowa and the 2 southern county tiers of Minnesota.

County Fairs in Iowa have been taking place for well over 100 year’s. The county fairs gave the farmers a chance to get off the farm, head into town to socialize, show their livestock and try for a blue ribbon and bragging rights for that year. The Farmers wives enter their baked and canned goods for judging with hopes for that Blue Ribbon and to be name the best of the best of the county.

We’ll all of these little county fairs lead up to the Great Iowa State Fair held in Des Moines, Iowa at the State Fair Grounds August 13 – August 23, 2015.  All of those

Blue Ribbon Winners get the opportunity to bring their goods to be judge for a state wide winner!  Who would want to be declared the best of the best at the Iowa State Fair?

Midwest Construction will be attending the Bremer County Fair in Waverly, Iowa from July 29 – August 2 and the Mower Count Fair in Austin, Minnesota from August 11 – 16 and then the Iowa State Fair from Thursday, August 13 through Sunday, August 23.
