Project Coordinated by Troy DeatonSiding, Gutter, and Window Project
Midwest Construction recently gave this 1976 home a complete exterior facelift.
Step 1: Removal and Inspection
The crew began by removing the existing wood fiber siding and inspecting the sheathing to ensure there was no rot. If any damaged sheathing, sills, or casings were discovered, the crew photographed the issues and sent them to the production manager. The production manager then emailed or texted the photos to the homeowners for review and approval of the necessary repairs and associated costs.
Step 2: Weatherproofing
Next, all exterior walls of both the home and garage were wrapped with house wrap. All windows and doors were sealed with butyl tape to protect against moisture intrusion and ensure long-term durability beneath the new siding system.
Step 3: Exterior Trim and Finishing
The team then covered all window sills, window casings, door casings, soffits, and fascia with custom-bent aluminum coil stock. A center-vent vinyl soffit system was also installed to improve ventilation and enhance overall appearance.
Step 4: Siding Installation
Midwest Construction’s crews installed 6-inch ProVia CedarMax Insulated Vinyl Siding on all exterior walls of the home and garage, along with shake siding on all gable areas for added architectural appeal.
Throughout the project, the job site was cleaned daily and all tools were properly secured. All Midwest Construction crews are fully insured for the homeowners’ peace of mind. Upon completion, all extra materials and the dumpster were promptly removed from the property.
