Door, Stone, and Railing Project

Midwest Construction’s Exterior Design Specialist, Alex Higgins, met with these Waukee, Iowa homeowners to provide an exact cost for a new front door, new deck railings, and stonework for the front of their home. The homeowners also mentioned possible structural damage, as they had experienced leaks in the spring during snowmelt.

After inspecting the front wall, Alex confirmed there was indeed some damage but assured the homeowners it could be fully repaired. He then handed them his iPad with the door selection options while he stepped outside to take the necessary measurements for an accurate project estimate.

The homeowners chose their new front door, Westbury Aluminum Railings, and their preferred stone colors and patterns. Alex priced everything out and also provided the carpenters' hourly rate for the structural repairs, along with the associated material costs. The only item he could not provide an exact cost for was the number of hours required to complete the structural repairs.

The homeowners were thrilled—not only with the work performed but also with the complete transparency in how the structural repair costs were presented.

Throughout the project, the job site was cleaned daily, and our crews maintained consistent communication with both the homeowners and the production managers. All tools were secured each day, and all construction debris will be removed and hauled away upon completion of the project.
