Project Description
This older farm home had steel siding installed in the late 1980's. The windows were never capped off and rain, snow and Iowa's elements had rotted the exterior sills and casings. Since the home was older and the windows were no longer considered standard size the installation of new windows from the lumber yard/big box store was to reduce the size of the windows and patch in the steel siding. Midwest Construction's solution was to has windows custom built to fit into the opening exactly. Before the new windows could be installed Midwest Construction addressed the rotten sills and casings, installed the new windows, insulated and sealed them and capped off the exterior sill and casing with custom bent aluminum col stock. Energy efficient, maintenance free and safe and easy to clean.
