Comments: I was very impressed with the siding crew as they covered a lot of ground in just a few days with the siding. Nice work, as well. Concerns were dealt with immediately! This is the 2 time Midwest Construction of Mason City, Iowa has worked with these homeowners. Back in 2006, these homeowners installed EcoSmart Vinyl Replacement Windows manufactured by Great Lakes Windows. Fast forward to 2017, the homeowners either need to paint or install siding. That’s when they called Midwest Construction and scheduled an appointment to have Chad Arndt meet with them again to discuss the siding options for their home.


Chad measured all of the exterior walls of the home and inspected the exterior walls for soft or rotten spots that may need attention. These homeowners did a great job at maintaining the home and the exterior walls were solid. One of the homeowners’ concerns was the fact the home could use more insulation in the sidewalls as the home was built in the late 1960’s the insulation in the sidewalls was not the greatest back then. Some of the other siding they looked at only had flat ¼ inch underlayment’s, to provide about an R-1 to R1.2 and Zero impact resistance.
