Midwest Construction installs new insulated Vinyl siding for homeowner in Rural Route Grinnell, Iowa.

Midwest Construction Grimes (Des Moines), Iowa location received a phone call from a homeowner in Grinnell and her very first question was do we travel to Grinnell, Iowa? Janet our office manager assured her we do and have done work in her town for many years.

Our sales representative, Troy Deaton, was issued the appointment and met with this homeowner to discuss the problems she was having and what she wanted to achieve bye residing her home. The home was built in the 1910’s and was very well maintained despite the peeling paint. Troy measured each wall of the home for siding, window and door trim, soffit and fascia and checked for any problems or wood rot.

Since the home had lead paint, Midwest Construction used our lead safe practices to ensure the home owners and environment safety. Once the

work area was prepped for lead safe practices, our crew was ready to give this home owner a brand new house at the same old address.


All exterior walls of the home were prepared by using VSI procedures and water management techniques. Grip Tite house wrap with Midwest Construction Logo was installed on all outer walls of home. Window and door tape was installed around all openings to prevent water from penetrating into the home and help eliminate drafts. Our crews installed flashing up all roof lines and all factory approved accessories such as: Insulated outside corner post, starter strips, J-channel, finish trims, light blocks, dryer vents, and electrical mini mounts.

All existing gutters and downspouts were removed and all existing soffits and fascia boards were inspected for wood rot and replace if and were needed with new lumber. Midwest Construction added to the home American Classic Hidden Ridge Soffit System and custom bent fascia to al overhangs before the new seamless gutters and down spouts was installed.

The job site was cleaned up daily and all construction debris was hauled away. When the job was finished, the home owner achieved what she was looking for, a maintenance free home, added insulation, and a Brand New Home at the Same Old Address!
